Between Dual Realms is a solo exhibition of abstract paintings and fiber art. Spanning several years, this body of work is the record and result of my struggle and reconciliation between the material and spiritual realms, moving from friction and resistance into fluidity, like Jacob wrestling with the angel, only to emerge the next morning into a transcendent moment. Embedded in this series are references to the cycles of nature, birth and growth, death and decay, rebirth and movement through time, with color, mark and form evoking an emotional experience of these phenomena.
